## Trade certificate (fagbrev)

The fagbrev is the Norwegian national trade certificate. It is awarded after upper secondary vocational school and an apprenticeship, and confirms that an examination board has assessed the candidate as having the skills and knowledge the trade requires. My apprenticeship was at Rubynor AS, from August 2022 to January 2024.

## Upper secondary grades (vitnemål)

Vocational programme in Electrical Engineering (*Elektrofag*): Vg1 Electrical and Computer Technology, Vg2 Computer Technology and Electronics, Vg3 Computer Electronics trade.

Norwegian grades run from 1 to 6, where 6 is the highest and 2 is the lowest passing grade. "Overall" is the teacher's final assessment for the subject; "Exam" is a separate examination grade.

Physical education was exempt from graded assessment. All exams in spring 2021 were cancelled nationally because of COVID-19. Vitnemål issued 30 January 2024 by Fagopplæringen i Telemark, Skien.
